• The brewer can be reset to the factory settings, including the water hardness settings. Hold the START button, the SELECT button and the AUTO START button all together for 3 seconds. The LCD will show a flashing ‘rES’. Press the SELECT button to start the reset. When the next prompt asks “YES” or “no” to confirm, press “YES”. Rotate and press the SELECT dial/button. This means that the water hardness will need to be reset again.
  • “Blooming” is the process of coffee grounds releasing the CO2 once hot water hits them. The brewer has settings to automatically adjust this blooming time based on the type of brew selected. However this can also be manually adjusted for the MyBrew setting for a custom cup of coffee.
  • Iced coffee is best when brewed strong as it will be diluted with the ice being added. It is recommended that the OVER ICE mode is used for ice coffee. Fill the water level to the 20oz level only. Fill the brew basket with twice the amount of coffee normally used for a regular brew. Once this is brewed into the carafe, the coffee will be hot. Allow to cool to at least room temperature for 2 hours or over night. Pour the coffee over ice to drink. Please note: Do not add ice to the tank.
  • It is recommended that if sugar is going to be added, it be added when the coffee is warm as it will dissolve more completely.
  • For Cold Brew, it is recommended that the machine brew over night as the time is usually very extended, typically 4 to 14 hours.
  • Fill the tank with no more than 20oz. Remove the basket to ensure that the cone insert and mesh basket are removed. Add a large paper filter to the basket. Fill with 2 to 3 times the normal coffee (approximately 12 scoops for 20 oz). Remove the lid from the carafe and place the carafe into the brewer. Please note: the carafe lid should not be on the carafe for cold brewing. Change the selection to COLD BREW and press START/CANCEL. The brewer will dispense the water into the filter and allow to brew without turning on the heater. Once the blooming is done, the brewer will automatically dispense the coffee into the carafe.
