Do not wash any part or accessory of this grinder in the dishwasher.

Daily Cleaning.

  • Remove the beans from the bean hopper.
  • Ensure that the grinder is unplugged from the wall.
  • Wash the bean hopper and hopper lid with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • To clean the exterior of the grinder, wipe with a soft damp cloth.
  • Do not use harsh, alkaline, or abrasive cleaners, steel wool or scouring pads on the grinder as these can damage the exterior surface or the bean hopper and hopper lid surface.

Deeper Cleaning.

  • Remove the lid from the bean hopper, unlock it and remove it from the grinder.
  • Empty the grinder into a container, ensuring all of the beans are removed.
  • Realign the now empty hopper and lock it into place back on the grinder.
  • Run the grinder on manual until no more grinds are coming out.
  • Remove the bean hopper once again.
  • unlock the upper burr by turning counter-clockwise until it releases then pull straight up.
  • Using the grinder cleaning brush included with the machine, brush out any beans or pieces that may be in the burr chamber, tipping the grinder to the side to ensure that they come out completely.
  • Brush the outer burr with the grinder cleaning brush to ensure that any grounds caught in the small crevices are removed.
  • Slide the grinder cleaning brush up from underneath and into the grinder outlet chute where the grinds fall into the portafilter, loosening anything that may be located there, possibly causing blockage.
  • Reinsert the upper burr into the grinder and lock it securely into place.
  • Reattach the bean hopper and lock into place.
  • Replace the beans and put the bean hopper lid securely back onto the hopper.
