Heavy: 10 seconds maxDo not blend a heavy mixture for more than 10 seconds.
Liquid: 2 minutes maxFor normal blending tasks with liquid ingredients, do not operate for longer than 2 minutes without turning off the blender and stirring the ingredients, and then continue blending.
Dry: 1 minute maxFor normal blending tasks with dry ingredients, do not operate for longer than 1 minute without turning off the blender and stirring the ingredients, and then continue blending.

To add additional ingredients while blending, remove the inner cup and place ingredients through the opening in the lid. When adding oil or other liquids during operation, slowly pour through the hole in the lid.

Don't overloadDo not overload the blender with more than the specified quantity of ingredients as doing so could cause the motor to stall, if this occurs always make sure the blender is off by turning the Variable Speed Dial to the 'OFF' position and unplug the cord. Remove a portion of the mixture from the blender jug before continuing.
Not hotDo not place hot or boiling ingredients into the blender; allow to cool before placing into the blender jug.
