• High humidity, altitude, cold tap water, and ingredients may slightly affect the cooking times in the slower cooker.
  • Roasting in the slow cooker can be done very easily. Simply place the wire rack into the slow cooker and place the meat to be roasted on top of that. No additional liquid is needed for roasting.
  • Meat will now brown in the Slow Cooker during the slow cooking process. It is recommended for any recipe where browning is required, that this be done in a separate pan on the stove top or in the EasySear™ Insert on the stove top prior to beginning the slow cooking process.
  • Always thaw frozen meat before cooking it in the slow cooker.
  • The EasySear™ Insert can be used to serve, however a heat proof mat or trivet should be used beneath it.
  • Once the slow cooking is done, the Slow Cooker can be turned to the ‘LOW’ setting to keep food warm for serving.
  • Do not attempt to deep fry in the Slow Cooker. The temperatures are not high enough to get the oil to a proper frying temperature.
  • Do not operate the Slow Cooker without the EasySear™ Insert in position.
  • Do not remove the lid of the slow cooker unnecessarily during cooking as this will result in an immense loss of heat.
