Before First Use

  • Season the Cooking Plates (top and bottom) with a little vegetable oil and rub off the excess with absorbent paper towel. After this initial seasoning, there is no need to season the Cooking Plates before each use as the pastry leaves them slightly seasoned.
  • It’s best to run your pie maker through two warming cycles. When you plug the pie maker in, the heating light will come on. Once it reaches the desired temperature, the ready light will come on and stay illuminated for a few moments. Allow the light to go off and the heating light to come on once again. When the ready light illuminates a second time, your pie maker is thoroughly heated.
