Digital Food Steamer™ Troubleshooting

The Digital Food Steamer™ is sounding an alert

The alert that the Steamer sounds is for the Dry Boil Protection. This alert sounds to let you know that the steamer needs to have water added to the base as it is either low or empty

The Heating Element looks rusty

There can be a discoloration that can get on the heating element of the Steamer. This discoloration can easily be removed by making a simple paste of white vinegar and baking soda. Apply the paste to the heating element and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes then wipe off completely. Alternatively, you can also fill the base with a half and half mixture of vinegar and water and bring this to a boil. Once that boil is reached, turn the Steamer off and let it sit for 2 hours before rinsing out and drying completely. You can repeat this every 2 to 4 months to keep the element spotless.
