• Always turn off the coffee machine and remove the plug from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Clean the outer housing and LCD screen with a soft damp cloth. When cleaning the LCD, apply cleaner to the cloth, not directly to the LCD.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaners on any part of the brewer.
  • Remove the coffee basket and discard any ground or paper filters.
  • The baskets can be rinsed with warm water and if deeper cleaning is required, a soft bristled brush with hot soapy water can be used.
  • After each use, empty the carafe; do not allow coffee to sit overnight as this could cause stains.
  • As with the baskets, rinsing with warm water will clean the carafe but if deeper cleaning is required, use a soft bristled brush and hot soapy water.
  • Periodically wipe down the shower head area with a soft damp cloth. If deeper cleaning is needed, the showerhead ring can be unscrewed counter-clockwise and the shower head can be pulled down. Use the same soft bristled brush and hot soapy water.
    • Descale Your Brewer
    • The descale process takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.
    • 1. Empty the tank and prepare the descale solution according to the manufacuter’s instructions. Pour the solution into the tank.
    • 2. Place the basket and carafe into position. Ensure there is no coffee or paper filter in the basket. Ensure the carafe is empty with the lid on.
    • 3. Press and hold the SELECT button for 3 seconds then release. “dSL” will appear on the LCD screen for 1 second and then show a count down of the time remaining on the descale cycle.
    • 4. When the descale process is finished, the LCD screen will go back to the main menu. Rinse the water tank, and basket with fresh water. Discard the liquid in the carafe and rinse with fresh water as well.
